Eventbrite reduces fees to offer savings for Australian customers

Eventbrite reduces fees to offer savings for Australian customers
September 1, 2015

Leading self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite has announced that it will lower its payment processing fees for its Australian customers.

After 16 months in the Australian market, Eventbrite has reduced its payment processing fee from 3.5% to 2% for paid events.

The platform will continue to allow users to list free events at no cost.

Eventbrite Australian Managing Director Rachael Neumann explains "with successes like Rainbow Serpent, Beyond the Valley, and Taste of Australia, Eventbrite is seeing strong traction in Australia, and we’re excited to offer more savings to our Australian customers."

Eventbrite’s payment system boasts a range of perks including a seamless purchase experience, reserved seating capabilities, and easy management for refunds and chargebacks. The company will also continue to support PayPal and provide multiple payment options.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Chief Executive Michele Bauer "Eventbrite provides a seamless and reliable ticketing platform for Mardi Gras and our customers.

“The drop in payment processing fees is fantastic news for organisers and buyers alike, and it’s great to see Eventbrite supporting the Australian events market by reducing barriers to entry.

"Eventbrite is playing a big part in building a secure future for many iconic Australian events including Mardi Gras.”

Eventbrite is the world’s largest self-service ticketing platform, hosting a vibrant collection of live experiences.

For organisers, Eventbrite provides a seamless solution to create compelling event pages, sell tickets, promote and manage events, and analyse results - from the web or any mobile device.

For attendees, Eventbrite offers access to a wide variety of live experiences, from small photography and yoga classes to large concerts and festivals with tens of thousands of people.

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in San Francisco, the company has processed more than 200 million tickets in 180 countries and has eight offices around the world, including London.
