read moreThe Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) has announced that Lynn Robinson has been appointed its news General Manager.
EVANZ President Keith Parker today announced that “after a huge response to fill the position and interviewing a very high calibre of applicants the EVANZ Executive would like to welcome Lynn to the position of GM of EVANZ.
“Lynn will take up her duties starting on the 1st of June, working with (outgoing General Manager) Miles (Davidson) through his last month in the same position in the handover process.”
Acknowledging Davidson’s contribution to the Association, Parker added “on behalf of the Executive I would like to thank Miles for his 15 years of service and we will have the opportunity to thank him at the end of year conference in Auckland.”
Lynn Robinson (formerly Briggs) has a strong background in events and tourism as well as sales, marketing and management experience across a variety of industries.
Starting her career as a professional orchestral musician, she has since performed business development roles in the tourism industry in New Zealand and Australia, before transitioning to the world of marketing and events, working for a range of businesses in New Zealand and abroad including not-for-profits, start-ups, small businesses and global corporates.
She also held the role of Hamilton & Waikato Convention Bureau Manager before starting her own marketing business in 2015.
Her events experience includes organising and managing conferences, gala dinners, training sessions, concerts and fundraising events as well as roles with large-scale events such as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and the New Zealand Agricultural Fieldays.
Robinson (pictured) will be attending EVANZ’s upcoming Mid-Year Meeting.
