Customer survey drives changes at MSAC Fitness Centre
The Fitness Centre at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is set for a transformation with a new layout and new equipment.
Driven by responses to a member survey back in August, changes in the facility’s cardio and weights area will see:
• New strength equipment including a new leg press, multi Power station, an additional Olympic bench press, Olympic decline bench press and two more squat racks with lifting platforms
• New cardio machines including two state-of-the-art Technogym SkillMills and a Technogym Climber (to arrive in January)
• A larger training area featuring’s Life Fitness’ new functional SynergyXM station - a multi-functional modular piece including cable machines, TRX straps and pull up bars
• A reorientated cardio deck repositioned to face the Albert Park Lake
• New stretching area and extension of the free weights area
The changes will be undertaken over five days from Monday 12th to Friday 16th December, with group fitness classes and pool access still available during this time.
New timetables are currently operating in the Fitness Centre and Wellness Zone with extra group fitness classes available in the run up to the festive season.
