Crowds flock to Movie World for MotoMonster Xtreme show
More than 10,000 people flocked to the Gold Coast theme park on Sunday, causing heavy traffic on the M1 Pacific Motorway.
A Movie World spokeswoman told the Gold Coast Bulletin that the influx was due to several factors, including the park's new MotoMonster Xtreme show, which launched on Friday, and current year MyFun VIP pass holders trying to get as much value as possible before their cards expired on Thursday.
The spokeswoman explained that the large visitation "was a combination of beautiful weather on the Gold Coast, our new show (and) people getting as much value out of the VIP passes."
The MotoMonster Xtreme show if offering a spectacular display of extreme motorsport at Movie World's Hollywood Stunt Driver arena from 24th June to 18th July.
The highlight of the new show is a 1000hp, 3.5 metre tall Monster Truck valued at $300,000 which performs remarkable stunts.
MotoMonster Xtreme also features daredevil Freestyle Moto X riders defying gravity as they jump 25 metres through the air in a fearless display of FMX skill.
MotoMonster Xtreme runs twice daily.
Both Movie World and Sea World will be opening new permanent attractions before the end of the year.
