read moreThe A-League’s Central Coast Mariners have announced the appointment of Greg Brownlow as their new Chief Executive.
Brownlow, who arrived at the Mariners in January, initially joined the club as its General Manager of Operations.
Over the past four months, he has run the day-to-day workings of the Club in that position, with his appointment as Chief Executive being officially announced at the 24/25 Mariners Medal Dinner on Monday night.
Brownlow (pictured) is also the Business and Strategic Partnerships Manager at Central Coast Sports College, a role which he has held since it was established in 2013.
He has played a fundamental role in the success of the College, which now educates over 1,000 student athletes, including numerous current Mariners.
In a statement, the club advised “our new CEO is well connected on the Coast, holding a position on the Board of the Gosford Erina Business Chamber, while having a number of pre-existing relationships with local Central Coast businesses. He also has a close connection to football on the Central Coast, currently serving as President of Berkeley Vale SC.”
Brownlow will continue to maintain his current position at the Central Coast Sports College (CCSC), alongside his role at the Mariners.
His joining the club earlier this year allowed further exciting collaboration between the Mariners and Central Coast Sports College, something which he will continue to grow and develop in his role as Chief Executive.
Mariners players who are either current or former CCSC student athletes include Haine Eames, Arthur De Lima, Dylan Peraic-Cullen and Annalise Rasmussen.
The Mariners have also appointed David Slade as the club’s Co-Chairman in a voluntary capacity, where he will be working closely with Mike Charlesworth.
Excited to begin his new role with the Mariners, Brownlow commented “I am incredibly excited to be named as the CEO of this great club, it is truly an honour.
“The Mariners are such a big part of the Central Coast community, and the region is at the heart of who we are as a club. This is something that we want to continue to grow,” Brownlow said.
"I am eager to work with the great people at this club to help drive the Mariners forward. One of my main ambitions is to ensure that we continue to connect with our incredible community, we want everyone in the region to be fans and be a part of the Mariners Family."
