Award preceedes Aussie World’s peak season
The Aussie World amusement park is continuing its path of success and accolades having recently won, for the third year in a row, the significant Sunshine Coast Business Award for Tourism.
Aussie World General Manager David Thompson said winning the award again was a wonderful achievement and testament to the hard work of the staff and recent investment into the popular Sunshine Coast theme park.
Thompson explained "over the past couple of years we've invested millions of dollars and opened six new features; water ride Plunge, thrill ride Redback, fun Giant Slide, water play area Leak'n Logs, the Pink Shoppe and Phileas's Fun Worx.
"Plus we've won two awards from social travel website TripAdvisor which are based and judged on reviews and opinions from travellers all across the world."
Thompson adds that when guests come to Aussie World they are sure to find something new or different that they haven't seen, tried or ridden on before, stating "if you're visiting for the first time, or it's been a while since your last visit, don't forget to bring your bathers to Aussie World these school holidays as you're guaranteed to get wet in one of the three water areas we have here."
Aussie World is located alongside the famous Ettamogah Pub just north of the Caloundra exit on the Bruce Highway and is an all-weather theme park suitable for all ages.
In 2014, Aussie World will also host the Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association (AALARA) annual conference the first time the attractions industry event has been staged on the Sunshine Coast.
