Australian Music Week returns in November
After a highly successful first year, Australian Music Week is returning to Sydney’s Cronulla Beach in November 2016 with an all new entertainment program.
With bands, local venues and the industry embracing the new music event, which will run from 2nd to 4th November 2016, the conference part of AMW will include panel, masterclasses and networking sessions lead by some of the most successful and influential people in the business.
Introducing the 2016 event, AMW Festival Director Geoff Trio stated “2015 exceeded expectations for a first-year event and yet we've got lots of room to improve.
“The industry support has been incredible and we're working hard to ensure great results for this years showcasing artists.”
Each evening will showcase Australia's most promising up and coming talent, who'll have the opportunity to play live in front of top music industry professionals. The live showcases are also open to the public.
One of the showcasing artists at AMW will be selected by a panel of industry delegates to receive the Australian Music Incentive Prize.
The winner will receive studio time to record courtesy of Damien Gerard, distribution of the single through MGM, radio servicing courtesy of The Right Profile and publicity from The PR Files.
The 2015 winner of the Australian Music Incentive Prize was the unique and beautiful sounds of Ella Fence.
Australian Music Week music summit is designed for industry executives, recording professionals, artists, and the music lover, and focuses on the business of global music.
