Australian Event Symposium 2015 to again link with Australian Event Awards

Australian Event Symposium 2015 to again link with Australian Event Awards
June 17, 2015

The Australian Event Symposium is to again be staged in 2015, linking with the Australian Event Awards, and taking place in Sydney on 17th and 18th November.

Coinciding with the event industry's 'Night of Nights' the combined events bring event professionals from all over Australia together to recognise and celebrate the best work in the industry over the last year.

The Symposium's theme will split into four streams through its two days, covering: Sporting Event Tourism, Business Event Tourism, Cultural Event Tourism and Event Tourism in Regional Australia.

Currently the Symposium is accepting proposals for presenters to explore the theme Events, Tourism and Destination Branding.

Presenters are being sought for the second day of the Symposium and are invited to put forward case studies, panel sessions and other presentations addressing the issues and opportunities pertinent to the intersection and overlap of these two vital Australian industries.

Proposals can be submitted through the Symposium website which also has more information about the submission process.

The first day of the Symposium will be a day of plenary sessions with a key industry figure focussing on each of the four streams and culminating in the 2015 National Events Address looking at the nationwide state of the events industry with respect to its connections to tourism.

The Australian Event Awards are currently open for entries from events and industry players vying for the awards which place them at the top of the events business.
