Anytime Fitness recognised as ‘top global’ franchise for 12th consecutive year
For the 12th year in a row, Anytime Fitness, the world’s largest and fastest-growing fitness club chain, has been acknowledged by Entrepreneur magazine as a ‘Top Global’ franchise.
Opening an average of more than 300 new gyms each year for more than a decade, Anytime Fitness recently expanded to Colombia and Indonesia and is set to soon open in Morocco and on adventure expedition ship in Antarctica, making Anytime Fitness the first to franchise on all seven continents.
It is then anticipating that it will continue its development in the Middle East region, Europe and Latin America.
To compile the most recent Top Global franchise rankings, Entrepreneur started with each company's 2019 Franchise 500® score - based on system size, growth rate and financial strength and stability - then adjusted to give extra weight to international size and growth rate.
Welcoming the ongoing acclaim, Anytime Fitness Chief Executive and co-founder, Chuck Runyon stated “this designation as a Top Global franchise - for the 12th consecutive year - is a credit to our international franchise development team and our fabulous group of international master franchisees.
“Whether it’s Australia, the Netherlands or Japan, our franchisees are providing our members with personal service and a wealth of training options that produce real results. That personal touch and high level of engagement is what differentiates Anytime Fitness from many other gyms and what has strengthened and grown our brand worldwide.”
The first Anytime Fitness Australia gym located in Gunnedah, NSW opened in 2008. Now, there are over 505 clubs located across the country and more expected to open soon.
Anytime Fitness Australia co-founder and Chair, Justin McDonell added “when we opened the doors to the first Anytime Fitness club in Australia we knew it would be a great fit. It came at a time when Australians were catching on to how important their fitness was yet did not have access to a gym that ticked all the boxes in terms of accessibility, flexibility and affordability.
“Our gyms are at the heart of so many communities across Australia.
“Our individual gym owners are doing well financially, and our members value having 24-hour access to our state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. We expect the Anytime Fitness network will keep growing so that we can continue to provide our members with unlimited opportunities to improve their health.”
Over 12 consecutive years, Anytime Fitness has been the fastest-growing gym franchise in the world, averaging 300 new gyms per year while serving 4 million members at nearly 5,000 gyms in more than 30 countries.
Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Anytime Fitness prides itself on providing its members with a wide array of fitness options and friendly, personal service in well-maintained facilities which feature top-quality exercise equipment.
