Activity to enhance confidence among children in southern Perth

Activity to enhance confidence among children in southern Perth
April 12, 2017

The opening of four new Ready Steady Go Kids locations across the southern Perth metropolitan area is set to contribute to the nurturing of confidence and self-esteem in participating children.

New Ready Steady Go Kids Area Manager, Paul Zyntek, believes that sport can help instill a can-do attitude from a young age to help children bravely take on new challenges and learn to believe in themselves.

As an experienced children’s worker who has spent time as a childrens’ entertainer, chaplain and youth worker, Zyntek is all for helping children reach their potential through physical activity.

Zyntek explains “developing a love for sports and physical activity is crucial for kids, especially in this day and age.

“Children gain confidence through regular success, and the Ready Steady Go Kids program is the perfect way to engrain this from a young age. It’s become a real success both nationally and internationally, so it’s great to see new locations popping up across Perth south metro.”

Physio-designed for children aged from one-and-a-half to six years old, Ready Steady Go Kids helps promote a lifelong passion for sports and exercise while building key social skills such as sportsmanship. Each class introduces children to the fundamentals of ten different sports and allows them to develop age-appropriate skills.

Sharing his commitment, Zyntek comments “what I really love about the program is that is gives kids a great head start. Children can develop their fine and gross motor skills while gaining confidence in a non-competitive sporting envrionment.”

“Through Ready Steady Go Kids, parents can watch their children grow before their very eyes. The great coaches know their sports and are trained to engage, educate and empower kids. On top of that, the activities are a lot of fun.”

As Area Manager for the Belmont, Booragoon, Gosnells and Success regions, Zyntek hopes to grow the Ready Steady Go Kids footprint across the entire south metro region. His aim is to have a full seven day offering with a regular presence in ELCs, kindergartens, community events and shopping centres.

Zyntek adds “when people in Perth talk about the best way to help kids develop and grow a passion for sports, I want them to talk about Ready Steady Go Kids.”

Ready Steady Go Kids Director, Danie O’Connor, is very keen to have Zyntek on board.

O’Connor explains “we’re really lucky to be working with Paul.

“With his wealth of experience and passion for children’s development, we have no doubt he will bring great energy and enthusiasm to the role. We’re excited to see Ready Steady Go Kids continue to grow across Western Australia with his help.”

Classes will commence in Term 2 across the south metro region of Perth.

They will be held at East Victoria Park on Mondays, Karawara on Tuesdays, Armadale on Wednesdays and Sundays, and Southern River on Saturdays.
