Active kids coming to Hutt City Council parks
Hutt City Council's Active Kids park sessions are set to keep hundreds of children active and energised during the school holidays.
Offering two hours of fun and games in Hutt City's great parks the sessions have been designed to keep the entire family active during the holidays.
Active Kids aims to introduce children aged five to 12 years to sport and movement skills, in a fun, inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
Hutt City Council Recreation and Events Manager Duncan Chisholm says activities are suitable for all abilities and will run between 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm.
Chisholm explains "these sessions are all about having fun and getting everyone involved - bring a picnic and make a day of it."
Participants are asked to wear shoes, a hat, comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a healthy snack for after the session. Parents and caregivers are required to stay with children throughout the programme.
