AALARA releases statement on Dreamworld tragedy
The Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association (AALARA) has issued a statement to industry stakeholders on the fatalities at Dreamworld on Tuesday 25th October.
The AAALARA statement reads: “We were all shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news at Dreamworld and our thoughts and sympathies are with the families and friends of those involved, as well as the first responders and everyone at Dreamworld.
“We are working closely with all of you as our members to provide support in all areas of your businesses. We have extended that support to the Dreamworld team during this tragic time for our industry.
“Our industry strives every day to ensure that we are first and foremost safe, so we can deliver the experiences that we are known for. AALARA will continue to advocate safety and provide support to all of you wherever possible.
“We understand Dreamworld is working closely with the authorities to fully investigate the incident and we will provide any assistance we can as requested.”
Dreamworld, which has been a leading supporter of AALARA since its creation 20 years ago, has had many prominent members of the association, including former President, the late and widely respected Len Shaw.
