2015 FITEX Convention returns to AUT University
The Exercise Association of New Zealand (ExerciseNZ) has announced that the annual FitEx Convention will again be held at AUT University’s North Shore Campus in November this year.
Formerly known as the GetNZ Active Conference, FitEx features the latest in science and business for every facet and role within the fitness industry – from facility owners, though to exercise professionals (Personal Trainers, Group exercise Instructors).
The conference for 2015 will be held on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November, with pre-conference workshops on Friday 20th November (starting at 9am).
Friday events will include a full day business summits for club owners and managers, plus other full and part day events.
As the key conference for the fitness and exercise industry in New Zealand, in 2014 FitEx attracted record numbers – with over 700 club owners/managers, personal trainers, group exercise instructors, and other industry professionals attending.
FitEx also runs alongside the New Zealand Exercise Industry Awards, which will be presented during the conference on the evening of Saturday 21st November.
Formerly known as the New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards, the Exercise Industry Awards have been running since 2005, and are designed to recognise those making a contribution to the health and wellness of New Zealanders through exercise and fitness.
The awards ceremony itself is an annual event, and has had prestigious guest speakers including MPs and Ministers Hon John Key, Hon Rodney Hide, Hon Murray McCully, Sue Kedgeley and Auckland Mayor Len Brown.
