About the role

As one of Logan’s first choices for an enjoyable day or night out, the Logan Entertainment Centre boasts a range of programmed events such as musical theatre, drama, dance, music, and comedy and hosts various community-based organisations and civic events for the city.

The Performing Arts Program is a dedicated and hardworking department within Logan City Council, with passionate staff, specialised technical experts and inspirational leaders; now we are looking for our final piece of the puzzle with an experienced Venue Coordinator.

Reporting directly to the Performing Arts Program Leader, this role will collaborate with internal stakeholders in providing end-to-end event management whilst also ensuring that our varied clientele is met with exceptional customer service and a positive in-venue experience.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in event or venue management within the Arts, Cultural or Entertainment Industries and the use of industry-specific software programs (such as Artifax and ENTA)
  • A strong understanding of Standard Operating and Workplace Health and Safety procedures in an entertainment venue environment.
  • The ability to liaise with various levels of Council staff and community members in creating their events and have a strong client management focus to ensure repeat business and seasonal civic and community bookings.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and organise highly functioning back-of-house and front-of-house teams.
  • Strong experience in financial management to ensure that events, staffing, operations, and facility management are within budget.
