South East Leisure is a subsidiary company of the City of Greater Dandenong with the responsibility to operate four of the City’s aquatic and leisure facilities. South East Leisure deliver health and wellbeing outcomes for the community of Greater Dandenong through caring and sustainable leisure and wellness experiences through the newly developed Noble Park Aquatic Centre, Springers Leisure Centre, Dandenong Stadium and Dandenong Oasis which will be re-developed and renamed as Dandenong Wellbeing Centre during 2025/2026.  South East Leisure was a newly formed subsidiary entity formed 3 years ago and consequently, the current Board positions are approaching renewal.

The South East Leisure Board plays a critical leadership and governance role by ensuring that the management team implement and give effect to the strategic goals set by the Board. The Board must provide leadership, safeguard the company’s interest and ensure accountability and relevant viability. Importantly the Board play a critical role in ensuring South East Leisure can continue to meet its commercial requirements while ensuring ongoing benefit and social outcomes for the community of Dandenong.

Individuals with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Corporate governance and leadership
• Strategic risk management and audit
• Financial management
• Strategic thinking and customer centricity
• Experience engaging directly with diverse communities
• Experience in highly regulated and politically complex environments
• Leisure industry experience
• Experience as a Board Chair will be required for the Chairperson role
