The Role

This is a newly created role to support ActiveXchange’s enthusiasm to positively disrupt the Sport, Leisure and Recreation market by harnessing data and technology to empower decision making.

The Marketing Executive is a key role that will be vital to building awareness, thought leadership, and demand for ActiveXchange’s product solutions, leading and helping us distill our value proposition into compelling messaging and content that successfully engages prospects, customers, partners and more.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Partnerships you will work closely with the Leadership team as well as with key stakeholders in product, strategic partnerships, clients and sales across Australia and New Zealand to identify, drive and support impactful projects to grow our business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an already stable business, experiencing solid growth throughout the pandemic, in a hands-on role which will take on the responsibility of our Communications and Marketing in ANZ with the opportunity to grow as the company grows into new markets.

The right person for this role will be looking to own our communications and marketing in a fast-growing business whilst developing their technical skills and leadership capabilities.

To be successful in this role you will develop and implement our communication and marketing plans that ensure alignment of content and activities to achieve sales and retention targets. In order to achieve this, the accountabilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Map and actively manage all communication for our active channels to ensure high levels of reach and audience engagement and report on outcomes
  • Work closely with sales, client success and product leadership to develop and deliver content that distils our value proposition into powerful, compelling and differentiated messages and stories that stand out in the market and are easily distributed across our identified channels
  • Collaborate with the product team for our solutions to understand product roadmap and to develop and implement coordinated plans for launches and announcements
  • Actively collaborate with external media agencies and publications to generate additional exposure and publicity. Including the coordination of media enquiries
  • Identify new and emerging market segments and implement activities to successfully penetrate these areas.

In achieving the above you will be a good team player, working with the wider team including our specialist analysts, researchers, product experts and the Executives to achieve our objectives.

Experience / Skills Required
• Previous experience in/with sport, leisure or government is preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong CRM Experience (Salesforce preferred), Canva (Design tool), Campaign Monitor (or similar), Google Analytics (or similar)
• Established track record of distilling and communicating the value of technical products into clear, differentiated messages and value propositions to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to establish and implement marketing initiatives and plans that meet the strategy within budget and deadlines

• Confidence and willingness to draw on your own experiences. Not shy to speak up when discussing solutions to propose alternative options if you feel they are warranted. (There are no right answers to wrong questions – challenge the status quo!).
