Security of Crowded Places in New Zealand Forum
Tuesday 22nd July and Wednesday 23rd July 2025
Eden Park, Auckland
The New Zealand Security Association (NZSA) is inviting security industry providers, stakeholders and the owner/operators of crowded places and venues to attend the Security of Crowded Places in New Zealand Forum.
The intent of the Forum is to build the knowledge and skills of senior security practitioners and the owner/operators of crowded places* and venues with regards to the Crowded Places Strategies and Resources, and to have the attendees be able to disseminate that knowledge and capability to their organisations and colleagues. Learning outcomes will be particularly relevant for Senior Managers and Training Managers for Security Providers, Security Consultants and those with responsibility for Crowded Places.
The Forum will be free to attend but as numbers are limited to 100, NZSA needs to restrict attendance to a maximum of two per company. NZSA also notes that the Forum covers a full two days and those attending need to be able to commit to being present throughout.
It is intended that this will become an annual opportunity to bring key stakeholders together and NZSA encourages those wishing to attend to register promptly as it will need to operate on a 'first in' basis.
NZSA is currently finalising presentation topics and speakers but will cover topics, including:
The Forum will also include 'Knowledge Café' sessions where participants will be invited to share knowledge and thereby help in developing better capability that will further enhance the security of crowded places.
* What is a crowded place?
Crowded places are locations that large numbers of people access easily and predictably. They include: sporting arenas; transport hubs and public transport; buildings and offices; schools; shopping centres; restaurants, hotels, theatres and other entertainment venues; community festivals and markets; places of worship; tourist attractions; and civic spaces. Crowded places also include open spaces like busy urban streets, parks and pedestrian malls.
