Following the success of Australia's first ever leisure industry communication and marketing event at Sydney's ANZ Stadium in August 2017, the event will return to equip businesses, organisations and professionals in communicating more effectively with their customers, the media and key markets.
The Leisure Industry Communication and Marketing Summit program will cover best practice and key issues, with crisis communications, which every organisation needs to be prepared for, a key component.
The last few years have seen countless examples of crises where we have witnessed effective and not-so-effective media management: Dreamworld’s Thunder River Rapids facilities, the performance drugs scandal that focused on the Essendon Bombers and Cronulla Sharks, the death of cricketer Phil Hughes at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the mysterious pool pooper at Invercargill’s Splash Palace aquatic centre, ongoing issues of ticket scalping and bots, concert safety, the Waikato Chiefs stripper incident and a drowning event at the Melbourne Watermarc.
This Seminar will Feature:
• Addresses covering best practice, trends and technology in leisure industry communications.
• Communications Through a Crisis – address and panel discussion
• Late afternoon award presentation and networking drinks.
Who Should Attend:
• Anyone with a professional interest in aquatics, attractions, entertainment, events, fitness, parks, recreation, sport, tourism and venues and a stake in their organisation or business’ reputation.
• Marketing, communication and public relations professionals
• Managers who may have to deal with communications issues in the event of a crisis
